Commends Israel and the UAE for taking a courageous step towards peace

(August 14, 2020, Chicago) The news reporting the formal establishment of diplomatic relations between the state of Israel and the United Arab Emirates brought cheers from To Protect Our Heritage PAC and all believers in peace. The historic diplomatic breakthrough, brokered by the U.S. administration, is an important step to peace in the region.

Marc Sommer, chairman of To Protect Our Heritage, expressed acknowledged the leaders who made this agreement possible. “We thank President Trump and his administration for their vision, diligence, and behind-the-scenes efforts. We commend Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for their achievement of the appropriately title Abraham Accord.”

Rabbi Victor Weisberg, founder and chairman emeritus of the PAC, expressed his optimism, “We hope that this break in the log jam of the Arab-Israeli peace process will bring progress and prosperity to the two nations and all their citizens and usher in an era of peace for the region.  May this historic step herald further courageous effort on behalf of peaceful resolutions of international problems.”
