Perhaps the most pernicious and intellectually dishonest libel against Israel by its enemies and fellow travelers is that it is an apartheid state along the lines of pre-Mandela South Africa and therefore has no right to exist. Black Students Object to Accusations of Israel Apartheid
Anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist activists on college campuses have been virulent in accusing Israel of apartheid. In March, 2011, the Vanguard Leadership Group, an honor society for top students at America’s historically black colleges and universities, expressed its revulsion with this “deliberate misappropriation of words and of the flagrant mischarterizations of Israel.”

There are indeed countries in the Middle East that expertly practice apartheid. In fact, they have made a fine art of the human rights abuses they accuse Israel of perpetrating. The propaganda machines of these despotic regimes project their own shortcomings and evils on the object of their hatred–Israel. So-called Muslim moderates are thought to be cowed by Islamists who have made an industry of terrorism. In fact, as reported in the press of Muslim countries, acts of terrorism are not only condoned, they are widely admired. As reported in The Muslim Wall of Silence
